We hope you will submit your best research for consideration to our 20th biennial EPA congress on Epidemiology and Social Psychiatry.
The theme of the 2020 Congress is Towards a perfect vision for public mental health. We particularly encourage submissions which connect social psychiatry and psychiatric epidemiology to this theme.
We also welcome high-quality abstract submissions on any topic or research area in psychiatric epidemiology and social psychiatry, including, but not limited to:
Psychiatric epidemiology, social psychiatry, public mental health, mental health services research, occupational mental health, social security and mental health, mental health services research, social psychology, social neuroscience, cultural psychiatry and ethnographic and qualitative research.
We welcome abstracts using any recognised, robust methodology, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches. We encourage the submission of peer-led or co-produced research from people with lived experience of mental health issues or their carers.
In this year’s congress, we welcome submissions in four separate categories:
- Symposia: Maximum of 5 speakers for a 90-minute symposium
- Oral presentations: Standard oral presentations in parallel sessions, between 15-20 minutes long
- Rapid-fire oral presentations: For early career researchers* to showcase their research in 5 minutes as an alternative to a poster
- Poster presentations: Standard poster presentations with opportunities to present during lunch and coffee breaks
Full submission guidelines, including symposia and abstract requirements, are published in the document below.
