The\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychepi.org\/congress\/congress\/scientific-committee\/\" style=\"transition-property: all;\">Scientific Committee<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0are currently reviewing symposia and abstract submissions. We will notify presenting authors of the outcome by 30 June 2022.<\/p><p>We look forward to showcasing the very best and latest mental health research at the 20th biennial EPA congress on Epidemiology and Social Psychiatry.\u00a0<\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.psychepi.org\/congress\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/12\/dan-dimmock-3mt71MKGjQ0-unsplash-300x169.jpg?resize=549%2C309&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Photo by Dan Dimmock on Unsplash\" width=\"549\" height=\"309\" class=\"alignright\" \/><\/p><p>Our Congress theme for 2022 is <span style=\"font-size: inherit;\"><em><b>Public mental health re-imagined: a roadmap towards global equity<\/b>.<\/em> Submissions from social psychiatry and psychiatric epidemiology connected to this theme are encouraged, including those on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health. \u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>We also welcome high-quality abstract submissions on any topic or research area in psychiatric epidemiology and social psychiatry, including, but not limited to:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Psychiatric epidemiology, social psychiatry, public mental health, mental health services research, social determinants of mental health, mental health inequalities, occupational mental health, social security and mental health, causal inference methods in psychiatric epidemiology, physical and mental health, social psychology, social neuroscience, cultural psychiatry and ethnographic and qualitative research.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>We encourage submission of peer-led or co-produced research from people with lived experience of mental health issues or their carers. We have a limited number of discounted places for delegates by lived experience and carers. Click <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychepi.org\/congress\/register\/\">here<\/a> <\/strong>for further details.\u00a0<\/p><p>Abstracts can be submitted to one of four separate categories:<\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Symposia: <\/span>Between 3-5 speakers presenting 3-5 abstracts (one per speaker) on a connected theme in a 90-minute symposium<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Oral presentations:\u00a0<\/span>Standard oral presentations in parallel sessions, between 15-20 minutes long<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rapid-fire oral presentations:\u00a0<\/span>For early career researchers* to showcase their research in 5 minutes as an alternative to a poster<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Poster presentations:\u00a0<\/span>Standard poster presentations with opportunities to present during lunch and coffee breaks<\/li><\/ul><div><p>Abstracts will be reviewed by our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychepi.org\/congress\/congress\/scientific-committee\/\">Scientific Committee<\/a><\/strong>, including members by lived experience.
